Day 56 of Challenge (60/60), Class # 58 – Kim’s First Class Teaching & The Moaner…

Let’s just say I ate WAY too much last night like most people and I still felt it this morning. I went ahead and had a piece of toast with almond butter and drank Emergen-C right before the 10am class. I don’t do well if I don’t have anything in my belly for some reason. I took my supplements and again decided to skip the coffee right before class. I made sure to take a coconut water into class with my smart water just in case. Since I have been paying more attention to my electrolytes I have been feeling better in and out of class… my body still hurts but at least I don’t have that fatigued, sleepy feeling always.

I knew class would be busy today since it was right after Thanksgiving and I know most people want to try and burn off what they ate. Another bonus was Kim was teaching her first class back from Teacher Training. I definitely didn’t want to miss that. I got to class about 9:45 am for the 10am and the room was packed. I managed to squeeze in between Kara and Susannah and I was in front of Tara and also saw Amy in my rear view. Amy is also back from Teacher Training… her nickname from training is Sailboat which I love! It was so great to see her and give her a BIG welcome back hug. Brian is Kim’s hubby and he was in the lobby getting ready for class too..I know he was a super proud guy today. It’s so cool how encouraging he is with the yoga. I think since he practices also he can really relate more to her journey. I am hoping one day my hubby will come to class. Maybe in another lifetime since he swears up and down it isn’t for him.

It was a pretty good class today heat wise and feeling good wise. I wasn’t able to get deep into postures because I was just feeling stiff and achy today and decided to not push too hard and cause more pain at this point in the 60/60. I have this weird pain my shoulder area and I wonder if the massage released some bad juju into my body. It definitely felt that way today at least. I will have a couple days off here to work it out. As we going into the postures, Kim was doing a wonderful job. I can’t believe this was her first class. She had incredible presence in the room and a beautiful commanding voice. I really enjoyed taking her class today and feeling the energy in the room. There were new people in the room today too and I think they were a little overwhelmed with how busy class was.

There was also this odd noise here and there in class sounding like an animal dying or in pain. It kept happening over and over throughout the whole class. Toward the end of class, I caught Amy’s eye and I couldn’t help but giggle because the noise just made me laugh. So to the moaner in class today… thanks for the good laugh. He must have been in some serious agony to be making those noises out loud. You never know what’s going to happen in these Bikram Yoga classes. It’s funny how sometimes the smallest things make you laugh.

After class it was good to catch up with fellow yogis and head out to enjoy the rest of this most spectacular day. I only have two more classes peeps… It’s definitely the home stretch!

Namaste Peeps!
