AWARENESS… do you have it?

20130805-175228.jpg

This vlog post was centered around a passage I just read from the book by Dale Carnegie How to Win Friends and Influence People in the Digital Age.

He comments on how we as individuals never have a neutral interaction. You either leave people worse off or better. I like to think I leave people off better, but let’s be real… that isn’t always the case.

I think since reading that passage, I am committed to leaving people I interact with better. What do you think of this?

Thank you Alicia for this lovely video.

Interaction is what we do, it’s part of life.
To really connect with someone is another story.
Another word, the level of the interaction, the depth is what make better relationship.

Great concept…. I always try to interact and make the person I am talking with feel that they matter and I am listening to what they are saying. I live by the golden rule treat everyone the way I want them to treat me….

I agree with you 100%; interactions are NOT neutral. You either impact someone positively, or negatively. Better positively!!

That’s a good question. I like to think I do. I am human and working on myself constantly. I just thought the concept of always leaving someone better or worse from your interaction really struck me. What about yourself?

This was a classic book that has many lessons to teach including the importance of human interactions.

This is so true. We affect those around us even when we don’t think we do. I’d rather leave others with a positive feeling rather than a negative one.

I have to think before i speak… but you are correct, sometimes we just don’t want to see people, and the interaction is terrible and awkward.
