Day 4 of Challenge, Class #5
I woke up this morning with more energy despite not sleeping very much. I want to credit the 60/60 for this increase in energy. Although, I was more sore than usual. Not sore like gym sore, but deep inside the muscle sore. I decided to take extra E3 Live supplement this morning to help me through the day and class this evening. (E3 Live is live blue green algae that I get frozen from the yoga studio. They sell it at both locations and I started taking it a year ago and I swear by it. It is the most nutrient dense food we can eat. If you want more info go to the website www.e3live.com)
I had a hectic work day and managed to get to class with plenty of time to spare. It was busy but not crazy busy today. There was a calmness today I felt at the West End Studio. Sometimes there seems to be buzzing of high energy levels, and other times just a hectic busy feeling there. Today it was almost serene. I was happy to see Natalie teaching. She is young, energetic, sweet and a great, encouraging teacher. I really enjoy her classes and what she adds to them. On the note of teachers. Each one of them is super special and brings different energy to the hot room. There really isn’t anyone I prefer over the other. It almost seems that the Universe knows what teacher I need on which day. That’s how it seems to me.
I managed to monitor my water intake better today and didn’t have any “running to the bathroom” incidents thank goodness. I did however have a last minute snack of Sunchips and grapes around 4pm and definitely regretted it during class. I kept saying to myself, “I will not eat too close to class, I will not eat too close to class.” However, the insane heat today did provide comfort. I do find myself craving the hot room and as the weather is getting colder it’s so NICE to get in the heat.
I had a veteran Yogi in my rear view today and he doesn’t drink any water in class. I have to admit, I really admire that and I wish I could get through class without water. Honestly, I have never tried to take class without water. I have a fear of not having the water for some reason. As stated in a previous post, I will work on that one.
I kept saying to myself today “be present”. I am not sure why this came to my mind so much today but it did. Again I credit the yoga and the 60/60 to making my mind shift. So much of my day now is planning and thinking about the Challenge. Oddly enough, just as Garland said in class one day (she is one of the owners and teacher), do the yoga and everything else falls into place. It is definitely happening that way for sure.
I had a strong class today overall and I felt I was able to go further in some of the stretching poses especially toward the end of class. This I have to say is so rewarding. It’s such a surprise to go deeper into a pose that I am sure I am making a surprise face as well. It definitely makes you want to come back for more the next day.
After class today it almost seemed like everyone had disappeared. Usually after the 5pm and before the 7pm there is a buzz of people coming and going out of the locker room, but today it was just me and one other Yogini getting changed. I have to admit it was nice to have a little quiet outside the room. I actually found myself more contemplative today and not as chatty like last night. I was also not as hyped up with energy. It is so interesting to me how different each day is even though it is the exact same thing we are doing.
On my way out I purchased more E3 live because I am amping up my dose of it to help with stiffness and energy for this 60/60. I also put my little sticker on the chart showing 5 classes. Now only 55 more to go. I know today seems more subdued in my post but it is how I am feeling. I am curious what tomorrow will bring.
Namaste Peeps!

Hey Girl! I will try before the end of the challenge. It’s a good goal to set right?
See you in the hot room!
