Day 35 of Challenge (60/60), Class #36 ~ My Yojo is back!
Happy Friday everyone! I woke up very happy this morning because it was Friday and also because it was the start of my birthday weekend. I was excited to get back in the hot room and redeem myself in class. I decided to take the 5pm and then I had plans to meet my mom and grandmother for dinner at Havana 59. This meant I had to pack all my clothes and makeup for going out.
When I went into class tonight I was excited to see Natalie teaching. I told her I needed a good class tonight after the angry class I had last night. I also made sure this morning to drink an extra coconut water so my electrolytes were all loaded up. I am so glad I did because I think it made a big difference in class tonight.
I had a strong class tonight and I wasn’t angry at all. Actually I felt really at peace tonight and almost reflective since tomorrow I grow one more year older. (Let’s just say I am in my 30s… although when I asked my 3 yr old daughter tonight how old she thought I was turning she announced that I was going to be 5 yrs old.) Class was very cathartic tonight and just went by easily.
A lot of fellow challengers and yogi friends were in class tonight and it was fun to chat and catch up with them before and after class. Right before class started, Tighe showed up to the studio with Yukari Miwa (Female World Champion) and I was able to shake her hand and introduce myself – so I have officially touched a yoga champion… I am hoping it will rub off on me. I will make sure to bump into Joseph Encinia somehow during the seminar tomorrow. Natalie was funny she said at the beginning of class she was nervous that Yukari was going to take class tonight but she didn’t see a mat or clothes with her. That would have been something to see though – to take class next to a world champi0n. I would think the energy would be amazing in the room if she had taken class.
There were a few new people in class tonight and they did great and managed to get through the whole class and stay in the room. I am always amazed at the first timers. The ones you think will be rock stars some times fall down hard and the ones that you think won’t make it become rock stars – that is what makes me love this yoga even more. It is truly an “expect the unexpected” experience.
Everyone is excited about the seminar and class tomorrow with Joseph Encinia and Yukari Miwa. I am so glad I signed up and can’t wait to report back in my next blog post. On my way out Lisa T. pointed out the studio got cute new tshirts. I had to treat myself and this is the one I chose
I plan to debut the shirt tomorrow in the seminar. I am happy to say I got my Yojo back (yoga mojo). I am hoping it is here to stay for a while!
Namaste Peeps!
