Day 13 of Challenge (60/60), Class # 13 – Home Sweet Home!
It’s hard to get back into your routine after traveling but this trip I made sure to snap back to it since I had the whole 60/60 going on. I got in super late last night from Dallas, TX and I had a work dinner tonight so I decided on the noon class at the West End Studio to make sure I got a class in. It was a rainy, cloudy day today which in my opinion makes for a great day to do yoga. I was excited to be back home with my family and to get back to my home studio. I was hoping the yoga would help to deflate my swollen feet from flying and sitting in that same position for so long.
I made sure to take my E3live this morning along with my chia seeds and had my usual breakfast. I knew it would be a great class. When I walked in I saw Pavida and I knew my butt was gonna get a kickin! I was ready and excited… I think because being away made me appreciate it that much more. We talked about my experience at Bikram Yoga of Dallas and she was happy for me that I made it there and took class even with all the obstacles with traveling. It felt great to put a sticker for the day I took class in Dallas.
I ran into Lisa F. in the locker room and Dennine (she is also doing the 60/60 and eats chia seeds! My kind of girl!!). Dennine and I were talking about doing doubles and she has a bunch to do as well during the challenge. It’s nice to know there are others going through the same journey and facing the same obstacles. We both agreed that the second class when doing a double is just awesome! I was happy to have smiling Lisa F. in my rear view in class and her energy really carried me through class. At one point she fell out of a posture and laughed. Pavida said she was glad Lisa laughed instead of cursed. She went on to tell us about a person who would curse every time they fell out of a posture. She also said, “we take a lot up here at the podium”. That made me chuckle a little because it must be interesting to teach this yoga to people. I am sure there could be a huge book of all the interesting things said to teachers.
There was also a preggo woman in class so that is why I think the heat was tolerable and there was no skin torching with Pavida. Usually she has the heat pretty jacked up and I feel like I am going to meet God at some point during the class. Thank goodness for the preggo lady. I had a great class and Pavida gave me some great corrections that made such a difference. It amazes me that she can see everything from that podium. Even the slightest alignment problem she can see it and always calls you out! She is truly a bionic Yogini and has mad skills. I always progress in her classes and I am very grateful for that even if it is painful at the time.
I am right on target now class wise and it felt great to put that sticker on the chart. They really start to add up and make you feel so accomplished. It’s good to be home. Oh, I almost forgot to mention… my ankles have now deflated and now back to normal!
Namaste Peeps!
