Day 29 of Challenge (60/60), Class #29 – Happy Weekend!
I am now writing this at the end of a super fun Halloween weekend. I know Halloween isn’t officially until tomorrow and there will be more fun to be had but we had an adult party and a kid party this weekend with costumes so that is why I am delayed in getting my posts up. After the super tough classes I had this past week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I made the decision to skip Friday and just take a day to heal. I am so relieved I did that because there was definitely some weird stomach ache thing going on with me and it just needed to run it’s course. When I got home Friday evening, my Body Balance I ordered arrived so I was excited to add it to the regimen of my chia seeds and Naked Green Machine and E3live. It has all sorts of important vitamins and minerals and sea vegetables and Aloe Vera. It’s taste a whole lot better than the E3 live too.
When I got up Saturday morning I was excited to go back to class and see if I would have a good one after the three horrible classes this week. That’s how this yoga goes. You never know what kind of class you are going to have… I guess that is why they say just accept what your body is that day and what class you have, no expectations. I thought about doing a double at 10am and 12pm but I knew I needed more time in the morning to eat a good breakfast and just prepare for the two classes in a row. Also I had the Halloween Party to race to after the 12pm class so that ruled out taking the 2pm class.
Jessica taught the 12pm class and I was happy to see it was busy with all the usual suspects of the challenge. I am writing this with yoga brain so I can’t clearly remember who at the moment. It was a super freezing day and rainy so it was absolutely perfect to get into that HOT room and boy did it feel awesome until class started… then it was crazy hot as usual.
I ended up having a good class but it started rocky. I have been forgetting to use my Nasonex spray and with all the ragweed and fall allergies, I had a super hard time breathing through my nose in class early on especially. The funny thing is Jessica was saying all you need to do is breathe… I wanted to shout out but I can’t really breathe at the moment. I managed to pull myself together and end up having a pretty good class thank goodness.
Now I am just one class shy of being half way through the 60/60. The odd thing is I feel like I have been doing this for an entire year already. I know in the end I will be so glad I committed to it and the process has been such a learning experience for me. Sometimes in the poses you take two steps forward and progress and then one step back. That can be frustrating at times but it’s definitely progress. My skin is also starting to break out so I am thinking there is some deep detoxing going on with my skin. At least that is what I like to think.
The adult Halloween Party was hosted by Chris and his wife Jill. He is a fellow yoga practitioner and it was fun to socialize with all the yoga people outside of the hot room and with all the fun costumes. My hubby and I both dressed up. I was Kim Kardashian and Michael was Momar Ghadafi. We got home at around 11pm and then I got the late night munchies. We broke down and ordered takeout from Silver Diner and I ate a delicious Veggie Burger with sweet potato fries. They have the absolute best veggies burgers if you are ever
craving one. It was a super fun day!
