Day 3 of Precleanse – Elimination Diet

Well today is day 3 of the precleanse. The book suggested I do a precleanse for 3-5 days before doing the actual 21 day cleanse. This is to help ease your body into the cleanse instead of shocking the hell out of it. I meant to blog on day 1 and 2 but you know how it goes… life sometimes gets in the way of good intentions.

The precleanse is eliminating all of the no no items which include, coffee or any caffeine, alcohol, sweets, breads that include gluten. You basically eat three meals on the approved lists and drink tons of water and take supplements to get you ready for the 2 liquid meals and only one solid meal per day.

I have added in a Liver Support supplement, probiotic, magnesium, garlic pills, on top of my regular vitamins. I am already feeling the effects of the cleanse and find myself feeling amazing today. The first day on the precleanse and yesterday I had some bad headaches from withdrawal of the coffee and sweets. I still went to yoga as well but Pavida mentioned I looked pale last night in class but I got through it ok. I was nervous at first but so glad I decided to go. Sweating daily is one of things you should do on the list for cleansing so I am glad I have my Bikram Yoga for that.

Last night I also tried a detox bath which really worked well. It includes a very hot, hot bath for 30 minutes and you mix in 2 cups of epsom salts, 2 cups of baking soda, and 2-3 tablespoons of ginger (I used the ground ginger).

My hope for this cleanse is to achieve a great sense of health and clarity. I also have been feeling gross after eating so much during the holiday season and the New Year seems to be the perfect time to start this cleanse.
